Was Othello and Desdemona's love doomed from the start? I think it is because of the reasons i’m about to tell you about. In Othello, Desdemona has a black boyfriend named Othello. Brabantio, Desdemona’s dad doesn’t like this because he thinks he used black magic on her to get her to love him, and back in that time there was a lot of racism. So Brabantio and a group of people goto where Othello lives, and plan on taking him to jail. When they get there Othello meets them at his front door, and they accuse him of using black magic on Desdemona. When they find out he’s not using black magic Brabantio is furious, and doesn’t want it to happen, but it does anyways.

Iago has been playing mind tricks on Othello and now Othello thinks Desdemona is cheating on him. Iago had his wife Emilia steal Desdemona's handkerchief that Othello got her, and when Emilia got it for Iago. Iago went and put it in Cassios house and when Othello found out that Cassio had it he became furious. Iago told Othello that Desdemona handkerchief was at Cassios house and that Desdemona was a whore,and that Othello didn’t need her.
Othello and Desdemona love was doomed from the start because of the reasons i’ve stated. The first reason is Cassio loving Desdemona and wanting to be with her. He couldn't stand her being with Othello. So he had to do something so he could be with her. The last reason is Iago trying to get them all killed. Iago was and wanted to get Othello and everyone else killed because he i selfish and he wanted the money and the girl. In the end Iago got everyone killed, and didn’t get the girl he wanted. He got everyone one he wanted to kill but it backfired and his plan didn’t work because he got caught and was sent
