The main objective of Susan McClary’s article, “The Blasphemy of Talking Politics During Bach Year, is to have her readers reconsider why they think of Bach as a legendary icon in music history. McClary believes that many Bach devotees are naive in their thinking to believe that Bach is a great composer due to the fact that the beauty of his music was “beyond his time and place.” McClary’s article not only proposed an unorthodox statement, but makes very concrete examples out of his Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 and Cantata 140 to support it. She accomplished what she wanted by having me, the reader, change the reasons why I believed his music was great. Because of this, I certainly believe this article is worth a read by other self proclaimed

I would like to think that Johann had a predominantly stable and great life, but he had to work hard
Both J.S. Bach and G.F. Handel use different aspects of music to compose important pieces of music. Both of these composers used this baroque style to convey messages through their music. The similarity in their music was that it is in a spiritual manner. J.S. Bach’s style was a harmonic and motivation manner, which Handel’s is more of a narrative.
Beethoven and Brahms Ludwig van Beethoven and Johannes Brahms were two great composers during very different times of musical periods. Although Johannes Brahms was born 5 years after Ludwig van Beethoven passed away, many have considered Brahms as Beethoven’s musical heir. Ludwig van Beethoven lived and wrote compositions during the classical musical time while Johannes Brahms wrote during the romantic musical time, although there is this time gap between the two Brahms is considered to be one of the more classical of the romantic composers. The two musical artists created many compositions over the years of their career. Both had rough times in their lifetimes and instead of letting these problems bringing them down they continued to write compositions and create amazing works.
When George Frideric Handel was a little kid, his uncle gave him a clavier which was a small keyboard-like instrument in secret because he knew that George loved the beautiful notes of music. One night, his parents heard music wafting throughout the house in the middle of the night and knew not from whence it came. When they searched the house, they found George playing melodies on his instrument. This was one of the first times that he would experience music for himself and lead him to have a career that would produce one of the most inspiring pieces of all time: the Hallelujah Chorus from the Messiah.
