Odysseus is an epic hero. In the Odyssey by Homer is about an epic hero Odysseus who is unable to get home after almost 20 years until he learns that he needs the gods.Odysseus is a great warrior who travels over vast setting,and he faces supernatural foes and receives supernatural help.

Showing his ability as a warrior infers that Odysseus is an Epic hero.In the epic story him and his men was washed up on a cyclops island that was ruled by the one Poseidon’s son Polyphemus.That Odysseus killed Polyphemus so him and his men can be freed from Polyphemus Island.He also turned his men back to humans after Circe the Witch turned his men to animals. Odysseus interacts with supernatural characters like Aeolus of the Island Aeolia, so he get some wind from the Wind God Aeolus so he can get back home to Ithaca.He met Tiresias the Prophet of the Underworld so he can ask how he can he get back home to Ithaca.He also met Calypso on the Island of Ogygia where she had him as a sex slave for Seven whole years where he, finally escaped and washed up on Phaiakians.
