I. In our history there was a great battle, 1133 were wounded and 383 were killed. When the battle of Bunker Hill happened the British took over Charlestown Peninsula, Bunker Hill and Breed's Hill. The Battle of Bunker Hill was a very gory battle. Thousands of people died and it was an atrocious battle. Bunker Hill is a significant Historical site because of its importance to the future of the U.S, the generals who participated in the war, and the eventual monument that was erected to memorialize the event.

Third Advance – Colonists were out of ammunition. Started loading their muskets with nails, scrap metal and broken glass. Colonists even threw rocks.
B. Although the Americans lost the battle, it boosted their morale.
1. Put up a strong resistance to some of the most well trained troops on earth.
2. Showed how tough the American troops were.
3. Caused concern back in England.
VI. In conclusion, the Battle of Bunker Hill was a battle that changed American History. Although Britain won the battle, it proved to the American soldiers that they could hold their own against the well trained British troops, while putting concerns in the hearts of the British who thought the Americans would be more easily defeated. This early battle in America’s fight for independence, led the way to an American victory in the Revolutionary War.
