The Civil War was one of the many wars that led to a wake-up call from people all over the world. Many Americans lives begin to change for the better. The use of technology became very tangible, and this is how many Americans made it throughout the disaster and depression that was going on. Migrations of the Americans led to a change as well. In this essay, you will see how the Civil War influenced U.S. Society, economy, and politics between 1865 and 1920. There were multiple aspects during 1865-1920. Here are three of the critical elements that happen in this period. The points were society, economy, and politics. There was a lot of changes during this time mainly social and economic changes. The society was a significant change because most of the people that were working during this time was working in factories making low wages. There was a lot of economic growths during this period from railroads being built and also factories. The economy gave many people jobs and made it easier for people to live. Farmers played a part economically also. Even though the farmers were still putting in the same amount of work, the prices of their crops were decreasing. It made more sense economically to ship large amounts of crops across the country. So for most of the farmers, this was a big loss, because they could not produce nearly enough to compete with bigger businesses. Some businesses were becoming more efficient, eliminating others in the same industry, simply because they could "do it better."
