Why should you get paid for chores when it’s part of everyday life? Not everyone has money to hand out for cleaning that you should already be doing. If kids were to be paid they would think it would be okay to not have a week of chores and not get paid. This would lead to dishes not be clean, no clothes to wear, and the house would be a disaster.
Doing chores keeps the house in order. If nobody did chores, then chaos would break out. You wouldn’t have any clean dishes to eat from, you would not have any clean clothes to wear to school or work, and your house would be a mess and would become very disgusting after a while. Well, that is wrong. Who is going to do your chores while you have your week off? Most of the time your parents or brothers or sisters have their own chores to do and don’t want to deal with another set of chores unless they get something in return. So, with no one to take care of your chores they are not going to get done which means that your pets could go hungry or they are not going to get walked, the floor is going to look disgusting and gross with dust and dirt all over it, etc.
Chores also teach you responsibility. If you do your chores and do them the right way for a week you could be rewarded. Even though the rewards may start out small, for example getting to go shopping, your parents will see how you are becoming more responsible and will let you have more privileges and bigger rewards. As you grow older you will see why chores should be done without being paid and that if you were to be paid that once you moved out of the house there will be no one to pay you for when you get your own house or
