According to History.com in article “Who invented baseball?” the sport of baseball was invented in the summer of 1839 by a man named Abner Doubleday in Cooperstown, New York. The three most important aspects of baseball that all who play baseball should know would be how to field, hit, and pitch. [Baseball is fantastic, because of positions, rules, equipment, and the field.] In order to understand and to play baseball, the players and fans must first know the rules. There are many rules that people must know in order to play baseball. First of all, the object of the game of baseball is to score more runs than the opposing team. The way the runner may score is by touching all the bases without getting out. Equally important, the runner has to touch the bases in order and must stay in baseline. The runner does not have to run to the next base if they choose not to. First of all, the pitcher, and catcher are the ones in control of the game. The pitcher tries to throw a strike without the hitter hitting the ball. The catcher catches the pitchers throws, and also gives the signs to the field from the coach. Also, the infield`s job is to knock down everything that comes its way. If the ball is hit they field the ball or catch a ball that does not travel to the outfield. Most importantly, outfielder 's have to be athletic and be patient.
