This quote that was just stated describes a story called “The Doll’s House” with two young girls that must persevere to live a different life. Now imagine a time where the poor family gets tormented and hated on by the rich and popular. They didn’t have the money to buy nice looking clothes to wear like everybody else. The truth about what they wore was made of bits from what their mother was given by the people that she worked for. For instance, one of the Kelvey children named Lil has a dress that is made from a tablecloth from the Burnells home. Also, the sleeves of the dress are from red curtains from the Logans’ household. As one of the Burnell children named Kezia was swinging, the Kelveys were walking passed and said hello to them. This was odd because the Burnells weren’t allowed to speak to the Kelveys, but what stopped the Kelvys was when Kezia asked if they wanted to see her dollhouse. This dollhouse was special because everyone has seen it and thought it was fantastic except for the Kelveys who aren’t allowed. Lil refused to go see it because she didn’t want to get in trouble, but Kezia kept trying to persuade them to come look and finally Else was tugging at Lil begging her to go.
