I live in New Zealand and I am currently in the UK visiting my parents who live in Pickering. I was reading your ‘Slow Motion’ magazine at their house, this led me to look at your website and see the job advertised. I am motivated to be interviewed for this position for several reasons. I decided at the end of my twenties to take a career break to New Zealand and Australia to enjoy the outdoors and engage in voluntary work. As part of this I booked a wilderness trip with Flying Kiwi Adventures and through this met my Kiwi partner, Dion, he was the tour leader. At the end of my trip we went to Australia together and then he invited me to re-join him in New Zealand as his assistant and supporting Flying Kiwi in their office in Nelson, it was a wonderful couple of year of being outdoors, in nature and being a conservation volunteer. I then chose to stay on in New Zealand after the two initial years and I have continued to work in marketing as a self-employed contractor for the last 8 years, my work has been diverse and interesting creating marketing content across a broad spectrum of channels. As I am sure that you are aware New Zealand is so much smaller than the UK, marketing teams are much leaner than here so the scope of my roles has been much greater. My experience of content writing, maintenance and curation has included brochures, websites, SEO content management, publicity and article generation, e-news and direct marketing and social media. My current salary is $65,000
