I had a very eventful summer with experiences I have never had before. I traveled all over the state, and to the bordering states all summer long. I spent my summer being involved in sports, spending time with my friends, and having quality family time.
This summer I spent the majority of my time traveling to different sporting events. Early May, I joined a club volleyball team in Madison. At the end of May I was able to run at the state track meet in Tea. I also joined a basketball team at the Pentagon in Sioux Falls. We went to basketball tournaments in a few different states. I also was able to go to team camps for both volleyball and basketball. With all the activities I attended, I was in every state bordering South Dakota at least once this summer. I got to spend quality time with my friends this summer and had a blast. This summer Addy and I were together almost every day in the month of August. Whenever it got too hot outside, we went swimming at her grandma’s pools. As a volleyball team, we had to sell twenty coupon books a piece, so Addy and I teamed up and together sold 40. We had to spend a solid three or four days going around to people’s houses and selling them all. I also met a lot of new friends through my club

Aside from all the activities we were involved in, we went to the river in Chamberlain to go boating and swim on the beach. We go to Chamberlain because my grandparents live there. Sometimes we meet our cousins from Madison there and enjoy river days together. We get to see each other a lot in the summertime surprisingly, since our schedules are both so busy. My family also went on a family vacation to Omaha and Sioux Falls. We went to Omaha and went shopping at outlet malls, and on our way back we went to a Canaries game in Sioux Falls. We did a lot of school shopping on this trip. Now that I look back on my summer, I can see all the fun times I had with my family without even realizing
