I am going to start by talking about my past writing experiences and English classes in general. From a young age I was pretty challenged in activities like reading and writing. As I continued on my educational path and receive more help in these areas I got a lot better. Around fifth grade I began to excel in my reading and writing abilities and my teachers helped me a lot with this. I decided to take the basic educational path in seventh and eighth grade for the English area. When I moved on to Valley Southwoods I made a pretty big jump into Literature and Composition instead of Language and Literature. In Lit and Comp in Ninth grade we did a very big research project. We were given a few weeks to gather our information from various sources and then write a paper. I wrote a paper over something that I am very passionate about, football. Specifically I wrote about the rising number of injuries surrounding football. During this writing experience I learned two major things. I learned about MLA format, which had been taught to me a little before. I also learned about finding reliable sources. This was something that was very stressed because we had to find unbiased sources for our research. I’m really big into video games currently and that is what I spend the most of my time doing. I play a variety of games but really found myself into Grand Theft Auto V lately. As for watching sports, I enjoy doing it with my family and friends. I usually spend most Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights with my family and extended family.
