I said goodbye to my grandma, like I do every morning, kissing her on the forehead and saying that I will see her after school. Little did I know, that was never going to happen again.
When the bus arrived at my stop after school, I started walking excitedly and stopped when I noticed a commotion at my house. As I got closer I realized that it was an ambulance. I saw my grandma strapped to a gurney, and being put in the red truck. My heart stopped. The scene in front of me had gone in slow motion. They drove away flashing their lights and blaring their sirens.
That sound was the only thing that I heard for hours. Replaying in my mind on a loop.
