As Johnson’s presidency ended, the Republican Party won and representing President Richard Nixon. On 1973, the United States Air Forced received an orders from President Nixon to decimate the industrial and military target in North Vietnam. As the North Vietnamese attended the Paris Peace Talks the United States granted their promising words of stopping the bomb. Few months later, President Nixon delivered a speech to the nation stating that United States, South Vietnam, North Vietnam, and the Viet Cong were at peace because of signing the Paris Peace Accords. On the brighter side, the accords was a victory to the United States and South Vietnam which it was known as the V-Day.

3.05 Reading Journal Part A In the Premature Burial, by Edgar Allen Poe, the author speaks of his terror upon being buried while not dead. The theme of overwhelming terror and the way it alters one mentally is used to show the narrator as he is swallowed up by his dread of being buried alive. The narrator is afflicted with catalepsy, which is a nervous condition that inflicts a trance or seizure with a loss of sensation and consciousness accompanied by rigidity of the body. The narrator internally fears that his paralyzed body will be falsely misconstrued as dead.
Edgar Allen Poe was born January 19, 1809, and died October 7, 1849, at the age of 40. Poe married Virginia Clemm Poe when she was just 13 years old and he was 27, she was his cousin and he loved her so much that even our generation and generations to come will know because he immortalized it in his work. The death of Virginia really set the path for his life, she seems to be his inspiration for many of his most famous or best-known pieces of work. Even after his other loves and wives, I feel it all still comes back to her and the impact she had on the notable Poe. Virginia Clemm Poe died January 30, 1847.

In answering the question, the theme that I will be discussing is that of premature burial in the short stories of Edgar Allan Poe. Premature burial is a theme that appears in a number of Poe 's stories such as Berenice, The Fall of the House of Usher, Ligeia and, of course, The Premature Burial. As Wolf says, "Poe must have been virtually obsessed with the idea of being buried alive" (289). The first of Poe 's stories I will discuss with reference to this theme is The Fall of the House of Usher.
