Henry Ford was one of the most successful entrepreneurs. He would study every machine he saw and his parents decided to allow him to go stay with a relative to pursue his interest. When he was sixteen, he walked the nine miles to get to the city. As he went from job to job, he became an expert machinist.

The quadricycle had twenty-eight inch wheels, it went twenty miles per hour, and had no brakes. It couldn't reverse and was prone to overheating. When others found out about it, many people were interested and eager to invest in the quadricycle. Within three years, Henry Ford quit his job and went on to build a team of thirteen men.

There were problems with the ignition and the carburetor and barely ran for a few minutes. Instead of building a new one, he looked into the engine and design to understand the problems. He continued to experiment and wanted to make a car for the people not just the wealthy.

His backers(?) pulled the plug on his operation and Ford blamed his investors. Ford declared, “my shop is always going to be my shop. I'm not going to have rich people telling me what to do.”

Henry began working on a race car to try to make a man for himself and start a new company. He had no experience driving at fast speeds but in the end he won the race. His rivals engine overheating and Henry was able to close the gap. Within months he had attracted new investors with the victory of many other races.

On June 16, 1903, Henry incorporated ford motor company. Within weeks he had His first model: a two seater with a reliable eight horse power engine. In less than two years Ford was producing twenty five cars a day.
