Henry Ford created the Ford Model T ,and he also invented the assembly line. He was born on July 30, 1863 in Wayne County near Dearborn, Michigan. Henry Ford was one of America’s foremost industrialists and also and automobile manufacturer. He was against cigarettes and wrote an anti-smoking book.
Ford’s father gifted him a pocket watch at the age of thirteen years old. The young boy promptly took apart and reassembled the watch. His friends and neighbors looked at his work, and they were impressed by it. They requested him to fix their timepieces too. Ford also worked on his family farm in Dearborn, Michigan, but he was unsatisfied with it.
At the age of sixteen, Henry Ford left home to take an apprenticeship as a machinist at a shipbuilding firm in Detroit. In the following years, he would learn to skillfully operate and service steam engines. He also studied bookkeeping. Ford married Clara Ala Bryant in 1888, and they had a son named Edsel in 1893.
