Henry Ford Living in the twentieth century was no easy task for any person, much less one who may have had a dream to become something extraordinary in their lifetime. Everyone during this time was essentially destined to work hard all of their life to barely get by and take care of their family. The beginning of the twentieth century consisted of rough living arrangements, low wages and tough jobs that sometimes left people with the loss of limbs, sight, or even their life. Although that is true, there are a few individuals that did manage to make the best of it and became famous to the eyes of an American in the process, Henry Ford being one of those individuals. The man that made transportation, which seemed impossible to do back then, possible with the invention of the very first vehicle, the Ford Model T. Ford then began to discuss his dream of invention a car to the famous Thomas Edison, an obviously kind-hearted individual in 1895. Henry asked Edison if the automobile was possible to assemble, and Edison replies, “Yes, there is a big future for any light-weight engine that can develop a high horsepower and is self-contained.
