When it comes to the profession of arms, the human resources sergeant plays a very important role. One expects a profession to produce experts in the field and the profession of arms is no exception. The HR Sergeant is in many ways the blood to keep the person alive. The Human Resource Sergeant keeps everything flowing straight for the rest of the Soldiers so the mission continues with focus. The HR Sergeant is responsible for processing Soldiers pay, maintaining records, filing packets for promotions and essentially keeping the profession willing to push on with little to no distractions. A machine needs support to keep moving and it is the HR Sergeant providing support to Soldiers keeping the machine going. If Soldiers feel neglected, they are less likely to strive to become the experts needed. HR Sergeants have to mentor Soldiers on what documents they need to process and update outside sources of a Soldier’s status. In this way, the HR Sergeants role demonstrates the professions ability to perform. This can affect the status of the profession of arms as a whole. The American public needs to know the basic essentials handled effortlessly and it is HR professionals within that maintain this forward flow. This leads to a continued trust from the American people and a good image for the profession.
