FedEx and the U.S. Postal Service compete for many of the same customers. Describe two (2) ways that their strategies for attracting customers are different. United State Parcel Service (USPS) and Federal Express are two delivery service organizations, competitor to each other in shipping services (Federal Express, 2015). These two organizations render a set of services that are more or less similar and target same customer base. They own fleets of aircraft and delivery vehicles, transportation centres, and dropping boxes. Each shipping service offers different delivery options, ranging from the same-day services to the first and third-day delivery. USPS has been a part of the best top shipping services over the years, with large satisfied customer base (USPS, 2015). They also provide the next-day Express Mail delivery. However, they mostly provide domestic express mail service to the European and Canadian cities. If the customer ships a lot of packages not requiring express delivery, for example, FedEx may be the best choice that does numerous international businesses, and the post office is also an excellent choice for next-day. USPS is obliged to work seven days due to high volumes of packages during holidays, and rates are cheaper compared to other shipping organizations. FedEx and USPS do not deliver on Sundays because of increased demerits; but these may be much better choices if they can attain customer
