Good evening Dr. Fredericks, Mrs. Van Ess, Board Members, Faculty, Families, and Fellow Classmates… Graduation- it’s not just about getting a diploma and going on elsewhere. Today is a day that will live on with us for much longer than we think. We look back at all of our memories from Franklin Township School and think about how far along we have come. Today is when we realize that we have grown up with everybody here and they influenced the beautiful students we have become. Today is when we see that no matter how long we stay here, we will end up extraordinary from now into the future. Franklin Township is where I found myself. I have been here since kindergarten and in those nine years, I see now that finding myself has a different meaning then I thought. Finding yourself means not only to discover your true personality, but to accept it and not let anybody tell you that it is anything, but exceptional. All of us are exceptional in our own special way. I remember the first day I started at Franklin Township School. Kindergarten was very scary for the shy, little me. Prassl’s room after the Winter Break, I saw a new student. She looked like Lucy from Narnia, so I went up to her desk and asked, “Are you the girl from Narnia?” Obviously it was a no. We talked a lot during the times of “Egyptica” which was a game we played all of the time at indoor recess and free time on Fridays. It was basically a pretend land made of legos. Again, little did I know that we would become the best of friends. Little did I know that Nicole DiGiambattista, would become one of the biggest parts of my life. In second grade, I also met Morgan Murphy. She is now my best friend an impacted my life so much. Them and their families helped me live a happier life. So many more people have become my friends over the years and they make me so much
