Ladies and gentlemen, I am Dr. Anne Howard and I am the Dean of the students here at the University of Michigan. I am so pleased to be with you tonight and to have the chance to introduce our keynote speaker, Akosua Atweaban. She is a notable alumni of this school and has gone on to become Head Nurse at New York-Presbyterian University Hospital of Columbia and Cornell. She has been one of the top nurses at this hospital for several years, and is a true stand out in this field.

I am thrilled to nominate Ms. Rodnesha Minor for North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University’s Outstanding Student Teacher of the Year. Ms. Minor has shown to be true to the spirit of excellence offered by preservice educators prepared at NCA&T. Her tenacity and drive for excellence in teaching and learning set a high standard for other preservice teachers. I have watched Ms. Minor develop and grow over the past 10 weeks into a strong and independent educator. NCA&T should truly be proud of her accomplishments. Ms. Minor manages her time while working at Summerfield Elementary as a true professional.

First, to the those who have made this night possible. I, and all the other graduates sitting here tonight would like to thank the Winton Woods High School Administration, Counselors, Teachers, as well as those from around the district, including the Winton Woods School District Board of Education and Superintendent for the countless nights that they invested in us over the past 13 years. While many times it felt like you were being unreasonable and much harder than necessary, we can see now, your persistent nature was borne from your unadulterated passion to ameliorate our lives for decades to come. Second, on behalf of the Winton Woods Class of 2017, we would all like to extend our deepest appreciation to the friends and family in attendance tonight.
Thank you to all the wonderful teachers of the world. You have one of the most important jobs on this planet! Thank you to Oprah Winfrey and Iyanla Vanzant, the two teachers I quote from the most often. I know I will meet you someday and I look forward to thanking you in person.
Out of all of the amazing teachers at the Cave City School District one teacher specifically deserves the title Educator of the Year. The teacher who deserves it is none other than our advanced topics math teacher Rebekah Asberry. There is a many reasons why she deserves the title Educator of the Year. Some may include: she cares for her students and former students, helps out with our work a lot, she is willing to help out if you have a bad grade in the class. One of the biggest reasons why Mrs. Asberry deserves Educator of the Year is because she cares for her students and her former students.
Thank you for always praying and worrying about me and you continue writing so many nice, sweet and lovely things about me, and intense messages, that I'm starting to believe in your filings even without have met me in person. I wish we can meet in person so then we can see each other, and really start talking about I became your wife, how much you love me, but if nobody changes mind after the meeting, like I said before. I'm starting trusting you, liking you a lot in a special way, and having certain lovely feelings start growing deeper and deeper inside me; I feel that God is working in His mysterious ways in our case. If I were chosen as the Texas Teacher of the Year, my message would be that all students, no matter what, deserve the best quality education. We have our students the majority of the day, and sometimes we might be the only positive role models in their lives. We need to support our students. We need to listen to our students, talk to them every day, greet them every morning, and let them know we care. We have to work hard in creating a positive and engaging 21st century learning environment that will make them want to come to school every day.
I wrote five different speeches to tell you tonight how Phi Theta Kappa has impacted me. There was the funny version, talking about how much fun we all have as the close group of friends we are. The nerdy version, where I had all these stories about carbon and graphene that showed what big chemistry nerd I am. There was a slightly obnoxious version that listed all the scholarships and awards I've gotten thanks to my work at Phi Theta Kappa. There was even a dark version, with story involving dead animals that, somehow, I thought it was a good idea.
I remembered in sixteen years ago, my brother called me and He said “ I 'll be a father, my baby girl looks gorgeous” I fell very blessed and happy for my brother. I just listened to his voice, and I felt he got very excited, and joyful, his daughter birthday today I hope my brother have a good time with his daughter. I miss you everyday. The thought of you not being here with us any more hurts me more than I can say. However, I know that you are at peace now with family that have pass on prior. I want you to know that I am a wiser and better person because of you and will always think of you when I see something funny that I know you would laugh about and continue to remember the good times we spent together as a family. I am not going to say goodbye so until we see each other
With Ulrich and Carina’s wedding over, Joan hoped simpler, less stressful times lay ahead, and sensed his wife and friends felt the same. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to live with some degree of boredom and monotony after having endured such turmoil and strife for the last year? That would be a welcome respite. At Last Good Evening class of 2017! I would also like to welcome parents, friend, and the Yucaipa High School faculty. I am delighted to be your class speaker, and I am thrilled to celebrate this special moment with all of you. Before I start I want to take the time to thank the two most important people in my life.
