Out of all of the amazing teachers at the Cave City School District one teacher specifically deserves the title Educator of the Year. The teacher who deserves it is none other than our advanced topics math teacher Rebekah Asberry. There is a many reasons why she deserves the title Educator of the Year. Some may include: she cares for her students and former students, helps out with our work a lot, she is willing to help out if you have a bad grade in the class. One of the biggest reasons why Mrs. Asberry deserves Educator of the Year is because she cares for her students and her former students. When my sister was in the hospital for her pregnancy, mrs. Asberry asked me every single day how my sister was doing. Even now a year later she still ask how my sister and her baby is doing. There was also a few times in my class when people was sick she would ask how they were doing and ask if they was okay until they came back to school. She does care a lot for her students and for her former students. Mrs. Asberry also helps out with our work a lot. Even Though the class is not that hard and we watch Dave Ramsey videos all the time, she makes sure we have the right answers for the packet we have to fill out for the video. Asberry is willing to work with you on your grade. Like there was a time when I did not turn in my homework for two weeks straight she allowed me to turn it all in for no point deduction. Which in return really helped out my grade by a lot. She has also helped people out who is failing her class by allowing them to do extra credit work, or redo some of the work they did bad on. So, Mrs. Asberry is willing to help us out on our grades whether we deserve her to help us out or not. But she is pretty cool when it comes to that
