One of my closest friends, Lupita Aquino, lost her mom unexpectedly on Monday. January 23rd. During times like this, there isn't much we can say to make the situation any better, but we can come together and help their family with their unexpected expenses. I've started this page to help the Marroquin Family during this time of mourning. As we all know, funeral arragnments are quite expensive in this country.

I was fifteen years old, the night before her death she calls all her friends on the phone with closes friends. The morning before she dies, she didn’t say word to me at all. I went to school like regular normal day laughing at my friend jokes and eating school breakfast. I went to class to class regular routine until I was in my last class science. My sister Stephine came in class crying telling me mom is in hospital.
Today this community gathers in honor of a dear, young girl taken from her family far too early, under deplorable, heartbreaking circumstances. Everyone knew Connie as a strikingly beautiful, lighthearted, decisive girl. It is rare that a teen can have such capability for strong decision making so early. That is not to say that Connie always made the right decisions, as no teenager ever does, but her willingness to make decisions at all is remarkable. My own surplus of indecision led to several regrettable life moments, and so I hope that Connie had no regrets in her young life, which was cut short far too soon.
She goes through the adverse situations of saving lives or telling someone’s loved ones that their family just passed away. My mom’s ability to assess the situation and save people’s lives has been shown through
I would like to take a moment to talk about the two most important and influential people in my life my parents Sabrina and Darren Hardnick. As I sat them down to talk to them about their past and their future I actually learned a lot more about them. It’s true when they say “you learn something new everyday”. Let’s start off with my mother Sabrina Hardnick, well let’s start when she was Sabrina McIntosh. February 14,1975 at Kaiser Hospital (no longer open) in Cleveland, Ohio Sabrina Lattice McIntosh was born.
Breaking the Cycle 16, 17, 18, 19. These numbers are how old my grandma, my aunt, my mom, and my sister were when they got pregnant with their first child. Most of the women on my mother’s side were teen moms without a college degree, some without a high school diploma and all were single. I plan to not continue this cycle. Growing up, I saw how my mom struggled to find a career she enjoys with just her high school diploma, even though she is a very intelligent person.
Her passing was a major loss because she was the only person that really loved me she taught me how to cook, we went fishing and we always attended church due to her spiritual beliefs in the lord. Foremost, she taught me how to pray and read the bible. Lastly, we took care of family member’s children and I took care of her in reality and the family member’s children at a young age. She needed me there because she was overweight and had a considerable health issues besides her heart.
Not wanting her children to be in a similar situation, she emphasized the importance of a good education to us all and ensured that this was achieved; as all of her children became professionals in various fields to include nursing, which she loved dearly. Our lasting memories of mommy are simple: she was phenomenal, a hardworking, passionate figure of strength who never waned in her support or love for God and her family, and who soldiered on, even when times were tough. She remained faithful even unto death and has left an indelible mark on our lives which will remain permanently etched. We will always remember these encouraging words that would be repeatedly echoed by mom: • Put God first in everything we do. • No matter how hard life is, there is always a better day coming.
Becoming a Single Mother Becoming a single mother was one of the hardest things to do in my life. I was only nineteen years old and new to the world. I had just gotten out of a five year relationship when I met this guy on social media, a few weeks later we finally met in person. Fast-forward about four months later, I was still working as a manager at one of our local fast food restaurants and just wasn’t feeling the greatest. One of the employees suggested that I could be pregnant, I didn’t think that it was possible since I did my part and was on the Pill, and still currently taking it.
In a world full of uncertainties, there is one person everyone on this Earth dead or alive has or had, and that is a mother. What is a mother? The dictionary definition of a mother as a noun is a woman in relation to her child or children, but as a verb means bring up (a child) with care and affection. While there is no cookie cutter definition of a mother, women still continuously conform to the societal pressure placed upon them. Societal viewpoint is that the title of mother is a one size fits all category, meaning the roles of every mother must be the same since their “job title” is.
I would like to make a toast to my parents, I want to start by thanking them for all that they have done for me. I can say without a doubt that they have made me into the person I am today. I can’t thank them enough for taking me to dance, gymnastics, softball, baseball and 4-H practices. A huge thanks goes to my mom because I don’t know how she managed to care for me and my brother or keep the house up and work all while my dad was over seas. People say that my Dad is a hero and he is, but Mom your superwoman.
I always knew deep down, that my mum was not going to make it; however, knowing this did not make it any easier. She died on December 4th 2008. I could not come to terms with her death. Not only was I left with many questions but I also felt like I should have spent more time with her.
Like most mothers, my mom goes through a lot in one day, especially with three kids. Sometimes, I do not know how she pulls it off. I think my mom got most of the strength she has today from what she went through as a teenager. When my mom was 17 years old, her father passed away from an open heart surgery. Having someone close to you, especially your father or mother, pass away is very devastating.
My mom, my sweet, gentle mom. My mom is like my sister, we love to talk about juicy stuff and love to share with each other what we did during the day. I don 't like to imagine myself without her because she is basically my life. She is caring and kind and always have a smile on her face when she sees me. When I say her name I get a picture of her in my mind.
