Imagine you are walking to school, it’s six miles away and you had to get up two hours ago to get water to bring back home. After you got home you had to boil the water so that it was clean. you are already exhausted. Plus, you the last time you had a meal was yesterday and you only got one meal. You hear your stomach growl and to you, it seems louder than any lion’s roar. Poverty is a huge problem around the world. So in this speech there will be some reasons why the government should get involved and why they shouldn’t.
Absolute or extreme poverty is when people lack the basic necessities of survival this means they can’t afford food, clothing, housing. Clean water, or basic medicines to help them stay healthy most of the time. According …show more content…

Hunger is a huge problem not just with people living in poverty, but people all over the world. Haiti has one of the biggest population with people in poverty. In Haiti 2 out of 3 people face Hunger some of the people in Haiti eat only once every two days. To us that is just unheard because in this class everybody gets at least two or three meals a day considering the breakfast or lunch provided by the school. In Haiti a lot of the people there live on $10 a day. Think about the budget you live on every day, you have to put in gas, transportation, insurance if you have it, food, clothing, and education. In all that would be a lot more than $10, that’s not even considering the extra curricular activities you participate in. An average meal when you eat out costs $12.75 that’s just one meal for us. These things don’t seem like much to us but to people living in poverty these things are luxury. One thing that the government could do to help bring down hunger is, provide a village with supplies to plant a field so, the village could get food, and if there were extra even sell it for a little money. You heard about the Ebola breakout but do you know that it is still a huge problem around the world? Well it is and a lot of people in poverty are afraid of getting ebola because if they do they can’t buy anything.
