The movie Hush, directed and written by Mike Flanagan, was first showed in 2016. Throughout the movie it is not visually in the point of view of the main character Madison Young, (played by Kate Siegal), but rather you hear sounds the way she would. Since Madison is deaf and has no voice, through a lot of the movie you can’t hear anything. In the movie she is being chased around her house by a masked killer, (played by John Gallagher Jr.). When the film goes silent it is good to hear and feel how she is feeling. In the beginning of the movie Mike Flanagan establishes the fact that the main character is deaf by the opening of the movie with a cooking scene that is completely silent, and then flips to having sound. Throughout the movie many scenes are shown without sound to make it more dramatic as the killer is following her through her house. There are many times throughout the film that Madison tries to call for help or escape, but the killer cuts here electric and internet. Since she lives in the middle of the woods so she does not have service. Throughout the film the masked killer is watching and harassing her throughout the entire film. The killer is heavily armed and is constantly having near misses with madison. Madison locks all the doors and windows so the killer can not get in, but she can not get out either. She tries to escape multiple times including escaping through the front door, roof, and just running out of the house, all these attempts came very close to death. There are a few times that the killer makes it into the house including one time in the beginning of the film, the killer makes it into the house before madison even realizes that she is in
