In some ways, the growing awareness of concussions has created a new market for entrepreneurs to cash in on. The advantage of this is that there are some good products out there. However, we are also witnessing a flooding in the market with pricey products that have no scientific evidence to back them up. You also have to be careful because of certain clinics that have been opened and staffed by so-called specialists who have no training or expertise on alleviating the symptoms of brain injury. Buyers have to beware because everything from physical therapists to dermatologists to orthopedists have opened these unscrupulous clinics across the country.
Liliana Villa In this section of In the Time of the Butterflies, Julia Alvarez uses various literary elements specifically interior monologue, and figurative language to show how Mate discovers she is willing to sacrifice herself for the movement. Mate was taken by officers in hopes she could be used as persuasion towards Leonardo through torture. When Leonardo tells the officers to leave her out of it, the officers in turn beat Leonardo. Mate, being in shock, began screaming for them to stop, she claims “It felt like my very own stomach was being punched”, which shows at first Mate was only thinking about what was happening to her own life.

One of the assignments for the Introduction to Occupational Therapy is to select an article and write a review about it. The article that seized my interest is “Starting a Private Practice: The First Steps” by Tara J. Glennon. In this response paper, I am going to discuss about how to start a private own business. My discussion will include the fate of small businesses in the United States. However, this effect will less likely to impact potential occupational therapy practice entrepreneurs because of the higher demand of occupational therapy, and therapists in the future.

- Keith and Zen were in love with each other for 12 years before they got married. Seeing a Counselor seemed an option for them and after a few sessions of Couple therapy, they seemed to have worked on themselves personally which helped them get back their happy married life. My observational experience at California Children’s Services (CCS) Medical Therapy Unit was my first introduction to pediatrics in occupational therapy. Here, I was able to see some of the many ways occupational therapists can help children, adolescents and young adults. I observed OT’s visit classrooms and make recommendations for adapted seating. Also, I accompanied occupational therapists to playgrounds to help children and families find ways for a child to participate as much as possible during recess despite an injury, disability or illness.
