In the novel, Ignatius embodies all the external traits of a social misfit. In essence to this dialectic nature, an existing component persistently overlaps with the theme of Ignatius’ character. As most social misfits experience, he unconsciously feels perpetually lost in his life, but not seeking to make up the failures he has done.
