What is Social Media?
Social media is a collective means of online communication that enable people to socially interact with one another on online using variety of Web-based platforms, applications and technologies. Through the use of social media, people can exchange photos and videos, share news stories, post their ideas and thoughts on blogs, and participate in online discussions on related topics. Social media also allow individuals, companies, organizations, and government to interact with large numbers of people.
The term social media is used to refer to social media sites and applications including Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, blogs and other types of social media platforms that have content based on user participation.
