Our country Belize is known for being a diverse country, as it contains a large percentage of the different cultures found within our country. Statics according the Belize People 2001 state that the population of the different ethnic groups within our country are as shown: mestizo 43.7%, Creole 29.8%, Maya 10%, and Garifuna 6.2%, other 10.3%. Culture is well known for its diversity, the different ways in which people of society live their lives. As we know that our country Belizean in also known as a multicultural country, full of people from central American and other countries. All cultural families that live within our country are person who have their own ways of seeing things, which may include their traditional beliefs that are practiced within their family members and even people living around them. It’s sad to know that all country have the experienced of dealing with things that take place every day in our neighborhoods. Some of the incidents are so horrible that we even are afraid to be out of our homes after hours. For me I used to live in Belize City and I used to attend St. Michael’s College at that time I was the type of person that used to be brave at times. I used to live in the Albert division, nowhere far from George street, west street, dean street and even the south side, which is consider “the badest area ina Belize”. But even so I used to walk to school and the shortest was would be walk out of the yard, into the kennel side, into dean street across the kick down fence bridge into dolphin street and last the school yard. Sometimes I felt coward but I wanted my education so I tried to be strong and have a positive mind. Many times I would pray in silences and ask God for guidance and here I am trying to complete my associates degree and with big hopes to start my bachelor’s degree as soon as January
