Environmental Issues In Aviation Industry Essay

1297 Words6 Pages

The environment protection and sustainability are important to be considered in aviation industries. The environment is protected from damages because of the aviation issues. They include nose, air pollution and the energy waste. The aviation contributes to climate change and global dimming. If the designers do not concern the aviation issues for environment, the people will face big problems and earth will be damaged in future. The aviation aim is transportation that goes up every years thus aircrafts raise and the environment issues raise. The air pollution is caused by fuel emissions of aircrafts which has consequences such as global warming and diseases. The most nose is caused by aircraft engines that results noisy …show more content…

b. Greenhouse gas emissions. The aviation emissions increased by 76.1% between 1990 and 2012 according to the UN’s climate body. In 2012, the most aviation activities were responsible for global CO2 emissions. International civil aviation organization (ICAO) had done goals to limit and reduce aviation emissions. This is going to improve efficiency of fuel by 2% every year, limiting aviation emissions at 2020 levels as well as reducing them to half of 2005 levels by 2050. The Operational improvement means the navigation, surveillance and communications are needed to manage air traffic. Therefore the amount of time is reduced for the plane spending in the air. This contributes to reduce consumption of fuel and burning fuel. The biofuels can be used for planes instead of using traditional fuels which have less CO2 emissions. For example, in 2009 the continental airlines tended to use a sustainable biofuel for powering a commercial aircraft for first time in North America. The biofuel blend involved components derived from Jatropha plants and
