The numerous horrific events in our airspace, significantly the September 11 or 911 incident shattered the sense of security of aviation. Before this incident, the only thing that we are afraid of whenever we are travelling via air or more on aircraft crashing and or hijacking. We always have the notion that with all the secured entrances, x-ray machines, and metal detectors nothing could go wrong in an airport more so inside an airplane. Who would ever think neither expects that we are sitting beside a terrorist or that we are being ushered by drug couriers or that we are on the same plane with full load shipment of contrabands, I think we are on the same page when I say nobody is. But are we truly safe every time we board an airplane? There are more than a hundred commercial aircrafts that we can choose from but more often than not we opt to choose carriers known for its good reputation and professionalism. Regardless of the position they hold, airline industry personnel must strive to maintain professionalism, take responsibility for personal actions and remain aware of how each individual contributes to the overall safety of a company and air transportation at large.
