Siliguri Places of Interest 1. Kali Mandir The Kali Mandir is a Hindu shrine and a popular tourist attraction in Siliguri. The presiding deity of the temple is Goddess Durga incarnated as Kali. According to folklore, the deity is auspicious for newlyweds, who visit the temple in large numbers. Tourists visit the temple to view the bejeweled statue of the goddess enshrined here. An ideal time to visit the Kali Mandir is during the festivals of Durga Puja and Navratri. The celebrations include ritualistic processions with spectacular performances of traditional music and dance. If you are in Siliguri, a visit to this iconic temple is a must. 2. Coronation Bridge Situated in the Sevoke area of Siliguri, the Coronation Bridge is perhaps the most iconic landmark of the city. Built over the river Teesta, this gigantic bridge is a marvelous specimen of British architecture.
