Values in education In any company, there are certain rules and regulations that can be followed and allow the company to function effectively. Companies are identified by their values and among those values, respect plays the major role. The ministry of education in Namibia has 6 core values which are respect and empathy, professionalism, accountability, integrity, teamwork and commitment, the strategic plan (2017). The values were implemented as the best values of accessible and equitable quality education in all institution, linking to the goals enunciated under vision 2030 and will promote moral values in schools. Members of the ministry of education, school staff will demonstrate adherence to ethical principles in the way they carry out their professional duties. They will perform their duties with integrity. Teachers training institutions have circular values to regulate civics and moral education program, and teachers are trained on pedagogy. Morrow (1989) explained that what bind us together is shared well, without these shared goods, processes of generating social cohesion would suffer the loss of a sense of common purpose and a shared future. I supporting his ideas on value education, I believe if learners could be taught the dos and the don’t, many learners will behave well and wrong doing will be less. The values of learners at school, in the community are very important because learners start to behave in acceptable manners. Teachers tend to behave in a professional way based on the code of conduct for the teacher.
