A working relationship is a relationship that is formed in the workplace. This would be with co workers, managers, visiting professionals and people who use the service, for example service users in a care setting. This would also include their family members and friends and any visitors they may have. A care setting will have policies and procedures and codes of conduct that will need to be followed. All professionals in a care setting have a duty of care and must conduct themselves in a professional manner. This relationship is a special one as the families look forward to seeing their loved ones and they expect to see that the care staff have a good relationship with their loves ones. It is important that the care staff have a good relationship with a service users family, as the family trust them to take care of their family members and like to know how they are getting on and it is important to have open and honest conversations with them. This partnership can be your co-workers, managers and any visiting professional who have the service users best interest in mind. An individual can have knowledge and previous experience that could be invaluable to someone else within the setting. There are also others who have had more training in certain areas and will have the skills to understand and support not just an individual but a service user as well. A service users needs are more likely to be met if the team within the setting are working together so that they can support and provide the care that will have a positive effect on their physical and mental health. It also avoids mistakes being made and avoids any confusion that could arise with wires being crossed between multiples individuals. If everyone in the setting works in partnership with everyone else, then things should run smoothly and most importantly, the people who use the service will be properly cared for and content with their provided care. A calm approach is always more helpful when trying to resolve a conflict. If an individual is agitated, it will only make the situation worse if others are worked up
