Waste Management refers to the recycling, processing, transport, assortment, and monitoring of waste products. According to McCull (2013), waste management is something that each and every household and business owner in the world needs. In some of the countries, there is a rapid growth and increase of population in which proper waste management becomes a very common problem especially in the Philippines. This type of problem is mostly faced in the rural areas especially in villages and barangays. This is caused by human activities that also donate to the increase of waste. However, there are certain process on how to handle each state. Segregation in household is needed specifically separation of garbage according to their groups.

Improper waste management is one of the biggest environmental issues in the Philippines. According to Aquino (2013), RA 9003 or the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000 was crafted in response to looming garbage in our country. It declares the policy to state in comprehensive and ecological solid waste management program that ensures the protection of public health and the environment and the proper segregation, collection, transport, storage, treatment and disposal of solid waste through the formulation and adoption of best environmental practices (Deriquito, 2013).
