Inaccuracies In Kingdom Of Heaven

In the movie Kingdom of Heaven, there were many inaccuracies throughout the film. Although the movie did follow the lines of the Second Crusade, things throughout the film turned out to be fictional. Some of these inaccuracies are how the love interests played out between Balian and Sibylla, those are not correct for the actual Crusades. Another inaccuracy is how people lived longer than they were supposed to after being wounded. Adding on to how people were wounded, they had medicine in the movie that they did not actually have back then. One of the last inaccuracies I saw in the movie, is the weapons they used, some of them were not created yet at this time. In the movie, there are many fighting scenes, with many different weapons used and not all of those weapons had been created yet.
During the Kingdom of Heaven, there was a love interest that played a big part in the movie. It was the relationship between Balian and Sibylla, which in real life was not true. In real life, they would not of been together because of standards, and …show more content…

There were some portions of the movie that had never happened, but this movie helped me understand the Second Crusade better than I did before. Even with the inaccuracies in the movie, I feel like it portrayed what really happened very well. The love story may not have been real, there was a love story between Sibylla and another character in real life. The injuries that were shown in the movie may not have been realistic, but it helped add to the movie about what was going on with the fighting. The cures for injuries may not have been real, or helped but it helped show what they did have at that time in the Middle Ages. Lastly, the weapons that were used in the movie may not have been created back then, but it helped show the battles that they did have, with the weapons that had been made at that time in the Second
