Heroes, Gods and Monsters of the Greek Myths, a novel by Bernard Evslin, retells short stories of the most famous gods and monsters of Greek Mythology. Evslin creates a simplistic way for the reader to understand more about these myths, through short story telling. Each god and monster is given their own chapter, and are explained thoroughly, but simplistically to help the reader understand these stories better. Evslin’s method of storytelling was effective and the way each story connected made it an easy and enjoyable read. I found it helpful that each piece was told through a maximum of about six pages.

In both these pieces his tone implies his dislike of women, calling them “beautiful evil” in Theogony and “a plague to men” in Works and Days. Overall, he comes across as misogynistic, blaming all the misery of men on Pandora, and the resultant female kind.
The book Myths & Legends by Anthony Horowitz is a book that conveys the various adventures and fables of the gods and goddesses. Gods are supposed to be the leaders of the world, the immortals graced with special powers and innate abilities. However, their behavior is not much different than that of humans. In Myths & Legends, gods are portrayed in their true colors -- selfish, impulsive, and jealous. Selfishness is the first characteristic that comes to mind when thinking about the gods.
In the book The Blood of Olympus By Rick Riordan, seven young heroes try to save the Earth. These young Greek and Roman demigods battle each other and finally allied at the end. When they were allied, they faced the main conflict. My opinion about this book is very high because it is my favorite book series and it has an interesting plot. This book also has a great humor once you read on.

Unsurprisingly, they too were given birth by another "generation" or form. The beings that gave birth to the gods and goddesses are called Titans. One of the, if not the most robust Titan, is Atlas. He is the lead Titan in their Titanomachy, or the Titans' war against the gods for control of the heavens.
