The process of indexing the interview over Sharon Cohen was a drawn-out process in which my partner and I had to make strategic decisions and work together to develop the proper indexes for the interview in which we were assigned. When initially assigned with the interview of Sharon Cohen, my partner decided to watch the interview completely through one time, and then return to the beginning and start configuring where the indexes should be. Once we had completed our index titles, we decided to compare titles and timestamps. Luckily enough for us, we, for the most part, had the same titles and timestamps. For the few we did disagree about, we, together, went back to the segment in question and determined what we believe the title or timestamp of the segment should be. Within this stage, we went through and reviewed our index titles and timestamps once again. As well during this stage, we went through and picked out keywords, key concepts, and GPS coordinates/hyperlinks. Once we had each completed our halves of the interview, my partner and I went through and checked each other’s. We did so by listening to our partners half of the interview, and checking all of the keywords, key points, and GPS coordinates/hyperlinks that we drew from the interview. Within this stage of indexing, I learned multiple skills including how to distribute equal proportions of work to each partner. As well during this stage, my partner and I began learning how to peer review. The process of peer review has been a crucial part of our indexing process.
