The 19th century brought factories that could mass-produce products with machines and workers assigned to different tasks. This sparked the Industrial Revolution. Britain was the first nation to be industrialized. They built factories and made money from them and built more factories making the nation industrialized. America became industrialized due to Thomas Jefferson’s Embargo Act and the War of 1812.
he Industrial Revolution overall had a positive effect on happiness in the workplace, village space, and resources for workers. The first example that shows it was positive is that the children were happy and had never been beaten in work. According to the 3rd document it says “They seemed to always be cheerful and alert” this tells me that it was positive because the children never got beat and they were always happy and cheerful to be at work which could cause better work ethic. Another positive thing is that in the village they were given more places to stay and they were fed and clothed.
The Industrial Revolution was a major turning point of the nineteenth century. People were in search of a better life. Many moved and migrated to the cities. This resulted in terrible working conditions. Hundreds were in search of work which lead to business looking for anyone to be highered.
Innovation and Inventions were a part of the industrializing that was taking place during this revolution and it led to many changes in lifestyles and businesses. One example of this is that innovation lead to assembly lines which made making things faster and more efficient. This lead to mass production which lead to bad working conditions and overworked employees. Another example is that the workforce changed due to the mass production.
The Industrial Revolution occurred England for many reason, but mainly because of the geography, and improvement to technology. The Industrial revolution began in England because of its geography, improvements to farming, and improvements to textile making machines. England was set up to become industrial from the start because of its geography. There was coal and iron all around the country (Doc 1). This made production much easier for factory owners, as coal was needed for power, and iron was needed to make machines.
The Industrial Revolution was a huge part of American history, but, many people do not realize how greatly our geography assisted the growth of the industry. England, where the revolution began, contains a majority of resources, similar to the states,that helped the industrial revolution greatly (Document 4). A few of the being coal, which has a source of energy; cotton and wool, both used to create textiles; iron, lead, and tin, all metals used to build factories and machinery (Document 1). Changes in agriculture also helped a great deal to get the Industrial Revolution on its feet.
The industrial revolution was an impactful era for humanity’s advancement, all over the world. People becamse eager to find faster and easier ways of doing everyday tasks, and began inventing in the 1760’s. England was the first to begin the textile revolution, which was the mass production of cloth in mills and factories. The role of women in the textile industry was significant because of their agility and smaller hands. For instance, kids were well fed, educated, and clothed. There were plenty of negatives, as well. One very sad example was the machine injuries that happened to both children and adults.

From the British Medical Journal, The Lancet, the life expectancy of a professional was only to the age of 38, it was 20 years old for a person of the middle class or an average person, and for a laborer in the factories the life expectancy was about 17 years old.
