DBQ: Positive and Negative Effects of The Industrial Revolution After 1750 gradual changes took place in England, which indefinitely marks the emergence of the Industrial Revolution. These changes were both affirmative and opposing. On the positive side, a factory system was established, steam engines were developed and the population density spread over Great Britain briskly. On a negative note, the working conditions were revolting, which led to the spread of disease and death. Overall, the changes in Europe reshaped the society as a whole, both positively and negatively.
The Industrial Revolution that began in Europe changed society in many ways. Some of these changes were positive while others were negative. A positive effect of the Industrial Revolution is more jobs are available. Effects of the Industrial Revolution The Industrial Revolution was an important event in history. It brought about many positives during its time. For instance, kids were well fed, educated, and clothed. There were plenty of negatives, as well. One very sad example was the machine injuries that happened to both children and adults.

The author point of view is that he’s arguing that society is getting better. The document explains that houses are better constructed and clothes are less expensive and also that trains are faster and cheaper. He also said it that the society is getting better.

Some of the major positive effects of the Industrial Revolution were an increase and steady wages, which allowed things to be made quicker, cheaper, and more abundantly. Something that was good about the industrial revolution was that there was more workers and people could get payed more. Things that were bad was that little kids could. That’s bad because kid get hurt for example, for kids who worked on farms would ride on horse rakes and easily fall off and get crushed. Kids would get overworked after working 12 hours a day.
