When it comes to politics there are many arguments and different beliefs that come along with it. There are many things around us we don’t realize that affect our beliefs. Our political beliefs and actions are influenced by our age, religion, gender, labor unions, education, race/ethnicity, and geography. I am influenced by many factors that I had no idea about. Racism has always been in the United States and I don’t think it will ever go away. As a country we have been somewhat able to limit racism. But ever since Donald Trump became president racism has started to increase again. My mom notices that I want to say something to them but she tells me to calm down and be the bigger person, and those people can have a bitter life while they are being racist and get into other people’s business. My mom has influenced me in a way so big that now I see racism in a whole new way. I see it as people who have nothing better to do than waste their time in other people’s business and be racist.
There are a total of six different factors that have helped me see political issues a whole new way. They are my mom, step-dad, media, friends, school, and other family members. College, income, and my future job also play a big role. The reason why I say college is because if I do end up going to college it will be paid for by the military because I will join them after high school. So if I am able to go to college for free then I will have a different outlook on how it is than students who are constantly paying loans in order to get the right education and a good job. Another reason is my income. I say this because when I am older I may be complaining about how much hours I’m working and I don’t get paid enough to do it. So based on that I would engage myself with more politics and pick the right person that I believe will help increase my income and not put this country in a greater debt that it already is and preventing another Great Depression. The last thing that can change my views is politics is my job. If I do decide to go to college I will take classes that have to relate to criminal justice and later on I can become an FBI Agent. Being an agent will highly affect my views because it’s a government job and it’s filled with secrets from the public, so if they do certain decisions and the people get upset because they think it doesn’t benefit them, they may be wrong because it will help them later on. That information will give me a deeper look into what politics do in order to keep the people
