And what big money can do is put an unbelievable amount of TV and radio ads out there to deflect attention from the real issues facing the American people.” These words from Bernie Sanders as he noticed the problems the American people face today. When asked what he will do with foreign affairs Bernie Sanders stated “We live in a difficult and dangerous world, and there are not east or magical solutions. As president and commander-in-chief, I will defend this nation, its people, and America’s vital strategic interests, but I will do it responsibly. America must defend freedom at home and abroad, but we must seek diplomatic solutions before resorting to military action. While force must always be an option, war must be a last resort, not a first option.” Bernie Sanders wants to protect America as much as he can without putting us in more war debt and losing more Americans. He realizes that not everything is answered with violence but also realizes that sometimes war in the only option. Which ever protects and ensures America’s future. Sanders is a member of congress and has already had to make huge decisions for the future of America. He voted against the Patriot Act even after it was renewed this past spring. He didn’t think we should trade our constitutional rights and civil liberties for illusion of security. He wants the best for America. Some say having a socialist leader is the worst decision we can make. Bernie Sanders being a socialist means that he believes in having an equal form of government. So that not one has more power over the other and allows less conflict. Socialism is progression and is in the interest of the entire population.
