Intro:
Influenza, also know as The Flu is a respiratory virus that causes fever, headache and fatigue, just to name a few. This is a contagious disease that is normally spread through touching and inhaling infected droplets that come from someone else. This is why humans have invented a specialised vaccination for it. You can attain this vaccination through injection but most people prefer handling the situation themselves through taking rests. It is estimated that on average, 5 - 20 percent of the american population every year attain Influenza . Of those, 3000 - 49000 persons die from it.
Why it’s a Problem:
Influenza is a disease that comes from viruses which takes effect days after infecting victims. Influenza could be seen to be more common at winter times as the cold air hardens the fat proteins that protect it (Hemagglutinin and Neuraminidase Protrude) so that would reduce the chance of them dying from the suns heat. A famous example of this dangerous virus in action would be The Influenza Pandemic which happened around 1918 to 1919 in Europe. Around 20 to 40 million people died because of it. More than of World War 1. The severity of the pandemic was seen after it’s existence as researchers discovered that it infected the global population by one fifth and decreased the average american life span by 10 years. If

Firstly, the traditional ‘Egg Based.’ This method is done by injecting vaccine viruses in chicken eggs which are then frozen in incubators for a few days. Another would be ‘Cell Based’, which is a term referring how influenza vaccines are made. Cell Based Influenza Vaccines are manufactured through growing animal cells in liquid cell culture (having cells grow in liquid). Cell Based are preferably made than Egg Based as they are easier and faster to make. Moreover, less stuff is required in making cell base than egg base.
