Joe Montana, born June 11th, 1956, is arguably the greatest quarterback in the 1980s and 1990s. He grew up in New Eagle, Pennsylvania and was the starting quarterback for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish from 1975-1978. In 1979 he was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the third round as the 82nd overall pick. Tom Brady was born 21 years after Joe Montana on August 3rd, 1977, and is currently terrorizing teams in the NFL. He grew up in San Mateo, California and played for their high school team as their starting quarterback. After high school, he played in college for Michigan from 1996-1999, leading his team to two Big Ten conference championships. In the 2000 NFL Draft, Tom Brady was taken by the New England Patriots in the sixth round as the 199th overall pick.
