Have you ever had your opinion on something entirely changed? What made it change? It likely could have been family and tradition. An individual’s family and traditions have the most influence on one’s perspective because it uses examples to change someone’s opinion on something. Tradition is an important factor when it comes to changing opinions.
Dr. Meyers, Hello! I hope your Thanksgiving was rejuvenating and enjoyable with family and friends. This is Angelia (Angel) Hirsch from the summer practicum course through Liberty University. I am not certain what happened over the week of Thanksgiving, but our house (which is a 125 year-old historical home, really a niche market, not many want to deal with the special things that come along with the age and up keep) suddenly went into high demand and we had numerous offers come in on Wednesday!
Good Evening Prof. Ellis, I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving Break! I know I enjoyed a nice home cooked meal, however, the reason I am emailing you is to make sure I don 't have my "final grade docked" because I didn 't send in excuses for my absences. I am positive I have missed over three absences, so attached are doctor 's notes for two of the days I missed. I know there is a chance my grade would not have been affected, but I did not want to risk it. Thanks.
Normally all my fathers family members can attend and I get to catch up with my Canadian cousins and brother who lives in Boston. Additionally we enjoy the classic feast of turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans, cranberry sauce, and more. Thanksgiving has a lot of importance to my family because I get to spend time with the people I don't see as often and bond with them. I believe that my family can also feel this social importance, which is why nobody ever seems to miss it, and we always leave so late. Between the food, friends, family, and extra long weekend off school,
The First Thanksgiving Everyone knows about Thanksgiving and eating turkey and pie, with a little cranberry sauce. Even though that is not what the pilgrims and Indians really did on the first Thanksgiving. Most elementary schools teach about how the pilgrims and Indians were friends. That they wore nice clothing, and ate at a giant table all together with a cornucopia in front of them.
Thanksgiving is an overabundance of all senses. Whether it’s the smell and taste of the food, or the emotions after not seeing a certain family member for so long. During Thanksgiving there is an immense amount of sensory

My Thanksgiving has been a lot of fun over the years. We have watched a lot of football and saw a lot of people barf. But today we will be comparing my thanksgiving with other people's thanksgivings. The other people like different foods and different traditions. Also activities that we are participating in.
The holidays can be stressful and with Thanksgiving right around the corner we tend to forget about ourselves, because we're so busy taking care of others. Together with Alouette, I want to share three easy ways you can keep it together this Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is always big for us. I would generally spend hours in the kitchen making sure everything is ready. This year we won't be hosting, but that doesn't mean that our meals aren't going to be extravagant.
“Sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with thankfulness in your hearts to God.” Colossians 3:16B ERV Let’s stop and look at how Webster’s dictionary defines gratitude and thanksgiving: Gratitude – “a feeling of thankful appreciation for favors or benefits received; thankfulness.” Thanksgiving – “the act of giving thanks an expression of this; esp; a formal often public, expression of thanks to God in the form of a prayer, etc.” We find that even though we interchange them, they really are two different expressions. Gratitude is a feeling expressed through thanksgiving to God.
Hosting Thanksgiving was always a tradition at my house. We would always have my family down at my house every year for as far back as I can remember. That is, until this year. This year, my family and I went down to South Carolina for Thanksgiving. It was a blast!
The night It is 5pm on Thanksgiving Day. There was football on the T.V. I was in the kitchen cooking. I peak at the T.V. it was a Broncos packers game the score was 21 to 21. I stop cooking and watch with my family. There is 10 seconds left and we all are cheering for the packers.
This is a very simple ode the most horrid type of food out there. It is worse then smelling grass after it has rained, or a diaper of a child needing to be changed. One my earlier memories was at a pretty young age. Many people say it is hard to remember certain events in life; when you find something that brings you to cringe at a certain food then that memory is hard to forget. This certain memory is about my one of my grandmothers and how she would make eggs around Thanksgiving time.
The Dinner Table Not too long ago, things were good. Family dinners occurred and breadsticks were broken. Cousins, aunts, and uncles gathered around the kitchen table. Conversations about school events and job promotions littered the air. When the turkey or whatever festive meal we were eating hit the table, disagreements stopped and love surrounded.
