The boys and girls club has many great sports activities to join in to help get kids out of the street and become more active in their community. They are there for you when you need them the most and you make so many new positive friends through the activities they have. Camp voyageur was my favorite camp they made you feel wanted and you never felt left out the camp leaders helped you become a leader and made you feel more independent. Boys and girls club have shown me a lot in life and I want to further my education so that someday I can give back to them. With all of my reasons why I want to further my education the most important reason is so I can give back to my family and community one day.
Since 1910, Boy Scouts of America (or BSA) has been one of the nation’s largest youth development organizations. BSA aims to create a generation of skilled and responsible young men who can be productive to their society. Throughout years, BSA kept inspiring youth to join its programs with its legitimate policy, which is set of rules that exist in the Scout’s Oauth Law. However, under new oppositions from different organizations, a delegate representing boy scouts has voted to adopt new changes on their membership policies that would allow homosexual scouts to join as members. For many years, BSA believed that homosexuality is inconsistent with its activities and spirit of scouting.

To my parents for the much needed love and support To my family and friends and to the people who helped with my eagle project And thank you all for attending my court of honor Over the past 13 years, scouting has taught me a lot of things that will stay with me the rest of my life. Universally, child soldiers are generally frowned upon for use in combat for being inhumane and barbarous. Especially in third world countries, child soldiers are used for conflicts extensively. They are known for committing some of the most brutal acts in wartime in countries like Sierra Leone, Sudan, Afghanistan, etc.
Starting in 2018, the Boy Scouts of America organization will be accepting girls as members for the first time since it’s foundation in February of 1910. The reasoning behind this is said to be an attempt to bridge the gap between genders and to shape the next generation of youth in America. This recent change has caused quite a bit of controversy and for some leads to the question: “If young girls can now join Boy Scouts of America, should boys be able to participate in Girl Scouts?”. The article points out the many benefits of boys joining the Girl Scouts and the new variety of tasks in which they would be participating in and the useful skills they could learn from being
Imagine if you were a Jew during World War 2, how would you feel having to hide your face in public and not get to eat because you need a ration card. Don’t know how you would feel, well you would probably be looking for a place to hide and food, you also might be looking for a new life somewhere else. And if you were lucky enough you found someone who would help. Like Corrie ten Boom and her family who got ration cards and helped bring Jews to safe places one including her own home. Or maybe Oskar Schindler would help you, he joined the Nazi party and bought a factory in Poland where he saved and protected over 1,000 Jews.
