This is one of many great things in baseball, the entertainment, that has been taken away from baseball by instant replays. Instant replay must be taken out of baseball. It is delaying the game, removing the umpire and manager fights, and costing Major League Baseball a fortune.

In spite of all the reasons and oppositions and rebuttals contrary to the essay, instant replay has changed the game. The instant replay has been the most expensive type of instant replay of all sports. Instant replay will all happen in the Replay Operation System facility in New York. When a coach wants to challenge a call on the field, the umpires walk over to a booth that is usually put in the backstop behind the catcher and will be told from the facility a number 1-5. 1 means that the call was right, and 5 means that the call was wrong. The umpires will get this through a headset and then make the second call on the play. Now if the facility in New York tells them the number 3, that means that they are unsure and that they need more time to review the call. “A football source said the NFL spends about $4 million a year on instant replay. In all, baseball doesn’t need instant replay. This game has survived and thrived for over a hundred years, and probably a lot longer without instant replay. Instant replay doesn’t have to, but it should be removed from baseball. It is wasting time in a slow enough game, it takes away a huge part of the entertainment factor of baseball, and it is just a waste of money. Baseball has been and always will be america 's pastime.
