When the statement, “Ways of knowing are a check on our instinctive judgments”, comes to mind, one may relate these ‘instinctive judgements’ to immediate responses influenced by ‘gut feel’ as the layman labels it. From a simple response to stimuli where a person touches a hot pan to a complex scenario where a quick decision needs to be taken by a businessman to save the downturn of a company; are intuitive based judgements. This can be substantiated through the example Einstein as he quotes ‘When I examine myself and my methods of thought, I come close to the conclusion that the gift of imagination has meant more to me than any talent for absorbing absolute knowledge .’ Artists incline towards imagination which is another way of intuitive thinking that has allowed them to convey their thoughts, emotions and thoughts onto a piece of canvas, in literature and other forms of art. Albert Einstein considered scientists to be artists too and brought forth the importance of intuition in generating new and creative ideas. Bauhaus , an influential modernist art school, had brought about a major change in the United States and Europe. Intuitive potent fields like arts give way to broadening boundaries that help explore and achieve new limits to knowledge. While scientists use intuition to achieve breakthroughs in the art of scientific investigation Beveridge has encapsulated quotes from scientists through the course of history on how intuitive judgements prove hypotheses. Through these examples prove to be a successful tool to produce new
