Intellectual property is a property created by an individual or a group of individuals which is recognized by state laws. Three types of intellectual property that apply to Jimmy. According to Hals-Ketcher (2006) Intellectual properties (IP) which apply to Jimmy are; patents, copyright and trademarks, all enable people to earn recognition or financial benefit from what they invent or create. Contract law follows the dictates of common sense and fairness was there an agreement that each party agreed to did either party or both fail to do what he or she promised. However, the contract between Jimmy and Aunt Jane is invalid and unenforceable Aunt Jane understood the money was intended for school. Fraud makes the contract unenforceable Jimmy breached the terms of the agreement thus making the contract unenforceable. Aunt Jane understood they money was for school not a startup business (Hasl-Kelchner, 2006). Aunt Jane is offering money to Jimmy as a consideration but Jimmy in return is not giving anything to his Aunt. A representation of a contract without a consideration to other party is not a valid contract and it is legally not enforceable.
