We live in an ethnically diverse workforce. There is an increase interconnectivity, which has become the standard in the world. The origin and ethnicity no longer dictates a worker’s geographical freedom; especially in developing countries. Developing countries have started to produce many skilled, educated workers to develop these countries. What has become popular is the ability to work from remote locations. It no longer prevents employers from communicating with their colleagues or employees. This workforce trend also allows everyone to collaborate with ease across national borders and time zones. These changes are most readily evident in the job titles that have dramatically evolved over the years. These jobs in the last decade or so are the dot-com and Non-IT and IT Jobs. The reason for this growth is caused by an increase in women in the United States workforce. The changes in policies, power and positioning of organizations will allow women to alter the strategies of boardrooms, industries and markets. A diverse savvy workforce will be required to understand and align with the diversity in the global marketplace. Diversity will be a critical competency for leaders and employees. These changes will influence families because it allows more opportunities for those working in these fields. However; because of the offshore jobs that are popular around the world, it is outsourcing today’s workplace. This causes fewer jobs here in America for American families. Regardless, that trend is likely to continue for the foreseeable future. It could also affect families negatively because unless you have a good education or above the poverty line many will still struggle to
