1. Interest group is a group of people that make policy-related appeals to government. They form groups to increase the chance that their views and thoughts will be heard more. They just want to influence the governmental decisions. They educate themselves and others about issues that affect them and try to enhance the democrats. They make groups and do what they need to do to promote the democratic party. 2. The gain insider strategies to gain access to decisions. They gain outsider strategies which include just going public. They do lobbying which is and attempt by a group to influence the legislation by putting pressure on members. They use the courts, they mobilize public opinion, and pretty much anything they can to get their way.
